The Alabama athletic department just completed renovations to the home of Crimson Tide Football, Bryant-Denny Stadium. The project lasted the entire offseason and battled work stoppages due to COVID-19 but it finished just in time for the new football season.

Alabama's home opener is this weekend and the media got a glimpse at several new aspects of the stadium.

The newly remodeled tunnel will flow directly from the Walk of Champions into the new locker room. Players locker room has been fully updated both with aesthetic upgrades and storage upgrades.

Nick Saban is always focused on recruiting and that can be plainly seen in the upgrades as the recruiting space doubled in size from 6,000 square feet to 12,000 square feet.

For the fans, the athletic department increased the size of the video boards that are inside the stadium. Fans can see Bama highlights even better now and make their own judgements on close replays because the boards are 60% larger than before.

The stadium added several new premium seating areas to make the game a more enjoyable experience for spectators. The press box was upgraded and moved to the east side of the stadium to make room for more luxury seating.

While the stadium will not be full, the renovations made this offseason will contribute to a great fan experience. Greg Byrne recently said the stadium capacity is now 100,077 but with COVID-19 restrictions there will be just under 20,000 this season.
