Allen, a former four-star prospect from Green Bay, Wisconsin, started 24 of his 32 games played for the Crimson Tide last season. Allen was one of the key pieces for Nate Oats' offense en route to Alabama's Sweet 16 appearance this season, averaging 11.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game on 44.6% shooting from the floor and 34.1% from three-point range. He was Alabama's fourth-leading scorer last season, leading rebounder, and third-leader in assists.

He scored 20 or more points in three contests for Alabama last season, with his top performance coming in Alabama's 96-90 loss to Vanderbilt in January, where Allen scored 25 points and had 11 rebounds, his third career double-double, against the Commodores.
