How in the world have we already reached the midpoint of the college football season? You might not have realized that there are as many games behind us now than there are ahead of us if not for the midseason awards being handed out.

ESPN rolled out its list of All-Americans through the first seven weeks of the 2014 season and Alabama's Amari Cooper was among the 25 players recognized for performing at the top of their position.

It comes as no surprise that Cooper was one of two receivers to receive the honor considering how well he's played this year. The junior is on pace to break every Alabama single-season record and currently ranks in the top 5 nationally in receptions (54), receiving yards (768), and receiving yards per game (128).

A year ago, the Crimson Tide had two players on the midseason list: linebacker C.J. Mosley and safety Vinnie Sunseri. One week later, Sunseri suffered a season-ending knee injury.
