A’Shawn Robinson Shows Out on the Big Stage Securing a Super Bowl Victory
If you were watching Super Bowl LVI on NBC, you probably heard Chris Collinsworth call out the name of a certain Alabama Football alum quite a few times. And for good reason.
Defensive end A'Shawn Robinson had a huge game on Sunday for the NFL Champion Los Angeles Rams, playing a huge part in stopping former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals offense.
Robinson was credited with six total tackles, five solo, one sack, and one tackle for loss. His sack was one of seven for the Rams against the Bengals. The second year LA Ram was pivotal in slowing down the Cincinnati running game holding the Bengals to just 79 rushing yards and allowing just five first downs rushing the football.
Robinson now has both a national championship ring from his 2016 CFP Championship with Alabama and a Super Bowl Ring for the Rams 2022 win. Terrell Lewis and Carson Tinker are the other Bama football guys who will be receiving a ring with the Rams.
These three being a part of the SB LVI win also makes this the tenth year in a row that an Alabama football alum has won a ring.
Robinson ended the season tied with UAB football alum Darious Williams for most tackles (16 TKL) on the LA Rams.
