DeVonta Smith is Currently Wearing a Walking Boot
Heisman winning wide receiver DeVonta Smith has had a heck of a career since leaving Tuscaloosa. In just his second year as an NFL wide receiver, Smith and Jalen Hurts took the Eagles all the way to Super Bowl LVII, where they fell just short to the dynastic Kansas City Chiefs.
It would appear that Smith suffered a lower leg injury at some point during the Eagles' astounding playoff run as when he attended an NBA game between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, he came on the court to ring the bell wearing a walking boot.
The walking boot first showed up immediately after the Super Bowl, but seemed to fly under most people's radar. Now, everyone is taking notice.
The nature of the injury is still unknown. It is also unknown if the injury will limit Smith from participating in optional team activities this offseason.
Smith ended up giving a game-worn jersey of his to Jason Tatum after he hit the game-winning shot.
