DeVonta Smith Signs with Klutch Sports

DeVonta Smith announced Tuesday morning that he will be signing with Klutch Sports. The Los Angeles-based agency currently represents a number of high-profile NBA players, including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, Trae Young, John Wall and others.

"Felt like it was a better business decison with me and more I can get out with them", said Smith. "Outside of football, just you as a person, building your brand, making it more than just football. Not just people seeing me as DeVonta Smith the football player, but DeVonta Smith the person".

Last January, Klutch Sports acquired football agency Revolution Sports and inherited a client list that includes, Alvin Kamara, Xavien Howard and Jarvis Landry. They would also sign top-5 picks Chase Young and Jeff Okudah.

The 2020 Heisman trophy winner reeled in 117 receptions for 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns for the Crimson Tide. Smith set a new SEC record for receiving yards and touchdowns in a career.

Smith also set a new College Football Playoff record for receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns in a single game against Ohio State.

In addition to winning the Heisman trophy, Smith also brought home the Maxwell, Walter Camp, Biletnikoff and Paul Hornung Award. He was also named the AP College Football Player of the Year, Sporting News College Football Player of the Year, SEC Offensive Player of the Year and was a unanimous All-American.
