SEC Sixth-man of the Year Jahvon Quinerly announced to Jon Rothstein today that he is withdrawing his name from the 2023 NBA Draft and returning to Tuscaloosa for his fifth year with the Tide and sixth playing college basketball.

The graduate will join fellow teammates Mark Sears, Rylen Griffen, Nick Pringle, and more in hopes of winning another SEC title this upcoming season. His return is nothing short of tremendous for Alabama's frontcourt and team as a whole.

Quinerly will rejoin Sears at the guard spot, and the additions of transfers Aaron Estrada and Latrell Wrightsell Jr. look to add even more depth and experience. The Tide now have four veteran guards with plenty of production to their names. Quinerly averaged almost 9 points per game and shot almost 36% from three-point range this past season while coming off a torn ACL.

While this is great news for Nate Oats, a large team need still looms: a center. Perhaps the news of Quinerly's return could lure a big name with the caliber of Grant Nelson, a former NDSU F/C who also announced his intentions to stay out of the draft today.
