Mark Sears Signs With The Milwaukee Bucks
Despite Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide making the Final Four and the Elite Eight over the last two seasons, Alabama went back-to-back years with no players drafted in the NBA draft. It's the first time since 2016-2017 that Alabama has gone with no draft picks in two seasons.

Despite this stat, the Tide's stars from last season have already started to ink two-way contracts with NBA teams following the draft. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Alabama guard Mark Sears has signed a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Sears was a First-Team All-American with the Crimson Tide last season and was a major catalyst to the Tide's Final Four and Elite Eight runs over the last two seasons.
In the 2023-24 season, Sears averaged 21.5 points, 4.0 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game. He shot 50.8% from the floor and 43.6% from three-point range. In the 2024-25 season, Sears averaged 18.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 40.3% from the floor and 34.5% from three-point range.
Sears was a consistent nuclear-level scoring threat for the Tide in his three seasons in Tuscaloosa. In the Tide's Sweet 16 matchup last season in the NCAA Tournament, Sears scored 34 points, shooting 62.5% from three in Alabama's 113-88 victory over BYU.
Sears now joins one of the best superstar duos in the NBA in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. It's doubtful Sears will see significant playing time early as an undrafted free agent, but he will likely play for the Bucks in the Summer League and on the Bucks' G-League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd.
