According to Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports and SoonerScoop, the Oklahoma Rivals affiliate, the Big 12 presidents decided to continue to move forward towards a fall season. The conference is expected to announce a schedule in the coming days after the athletic directors approval. Earlier in the month the conference decided it would opt for a nine game conference schedule, plus one out-of-conference game.

Mere hours after the Big 10 made the announcement to cancel its 2020 fall season, the Pac-12 followed suit. According to Brett McMurphy of Watchstadium.com, the Pac-12 will make its announcement at 3:30 central time.

Today, the Big 10 presidents met and voted in favor of cancelling the 2020 fall football season with hopes of possibly playing in the spring.

The Mountain West Conference announced yesterday its plans to postpone the 2020 football season, citing concerns over player safety in relation to COVID-19. The league voted Monday and is now the second FBS conference to move forward with cancelling the football season.

The Detroit Free Press and The Dan Patrick Show reported earlier in the day that the Big 10 held a vote to cancel its 2020 season. Dan Patrick reported that the conference voted 12-2 in favor of cancelling the season and that Nebraska and Iowa were the two dissenting schools. According to Heather Dinich of ESPN and Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic the Big 10 has not held a vote yet.

According to Dan Patrick and the Detroit Free Press, the Big 10 has voted to cancel its 2020 football season. The conference voted 12-2 to cancel this season, the only dissenting universities who voted to play were Iowa and Nebraska.

The ACC and Big 12 are both allowing teams to schedule one non-conference opponent in 2020. With the ACC releasing its schedule on Thursday morning, here are projections for each Big 12 team's non-conference opponent.

The Atlantic Coast Conference has released its official schedule for the 2020 season. The conference will play a 10 game conference schedule, plus one non-conference game. The season is scheduled to get underway on September 12 and the conference will hold its championship game on December 12 or December 19.

On Wednesday, the NCAA approved a waiver that allowed for more flexibility in scheduling. As a part of that waiver the NCAA is changing qualifications for bowl eligibility. Previously, teams were only allowed to count one victory against an FCS opponent toward bowl eligibility but now they are allowed to count two wins against FCS opponents for bowl eligibility.

With just under two months to go until college football is supposed to kick off, conference commissioners face difficult choices over how to handle the upcoming fall season during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
