Crowell currently ranks as the No. 2 running back in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 3 player in the state of Alabama. Playing his high school football at Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama, Crowell rushed for 1,964 yards and 31 touchdowns during his second season of high school football in 2024. He also caught nine passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns.

Alabama has been heavily involved in Crowell's recruitment as an in-state prospect, and the Tide's leading recruiter is running back coach Robert Gillespie.

Alabama is among the top six schools for the highly touted prospect, joined by Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, and Texas.

Crowell's new commitment date of June 26 comes after he cancelled his initial commitment date of December 31.

He's been to Alabama more than any other school, taking eight unofficial visits to the Capstone, most recently on April 12 for Alabama's A-Day spring practice. He's also visited Auburn four times.

Despite having six finalists, Crowell only has four official visits scheduled as of May 22.

Texas: June 6
Auburn: June 13
Florida State: June 15
Alabama: June 20

His commitment will come six days after he officially visits Alabama.

Following his A-Day visit, Crowell received several predictions from recruiting experts to sign with the Crimson Tide, including one from On3 Recruiting Expert Steve Wiltfong.
