Former Alabama Offensive Lineman Finds New Home
Former Alabama offensive lineman Javion Cohen has announced his new home.
The sophomore will be headed to South Beach to join the Miami Hurricanes football program.
"305 let’s handle business," tweeted Cohen.
Cohen is one of 14 Crimson Tide players to enter the transfer portal this year, joining Christian Leary, Aaron Anderson, Amari Kight, JoJo Earle, Tommy Brockermeyer, Jacoby Boykins, Khyree Jackson, Traeshon Holden, Jack Martin, Trey Sanders, Tanner Bowles, Damieon George, and Braylen Ingraham.
According to Rolltide.com, "[Cohen is] A second team All-SEC honoree by the league coaches... started 10 games and came off the bench in two more … played 554 total snaps... had 17 knockdown blocks with 1.5 sacks allowed, four pressures, four quarterback hits and three penalties... selected as one of the offensive players of the week by the Alabama coaching staff for his play against Auburn."
The Ala., native joins seven other former Crimson Tide members in announcing his new home. Anderson is headed to LSU, Martin is headed to Houston, Leary is headed to Central Florida, Ingraham is transferring to Syracuse, Holden and Jackson are transferring to Oregon, and Bowles is transferring to Kentucky. The remaining players in the portal have yet to announce their next chapter.
Alabama will take on Kansas State in the 2022 Allstate Sugar Bowl on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 11 a.m. CT in New Orleans, La. Coverage will be on Tide 100.9 and 95.3 The Bear.
