Former Alabama Wide Receiver Finds New Home
Former Alabama wide receiver Christian Leary is transferring to the University of Central Florida.
The sophomore made the announcement via a social media post on Tuesday afternoon.
In his two seasons at the Capstone, Leary caught three receptions for ten yards and a touchdown, as well as attempted three rushes for 22 yards. He also had experience on special teams with one punt attempt for two yards and a tackle.
The Fla., native was one of 14 Crimson Tide players to enter the transfer portal this year, joining Aaron Anderson, Amari Kight, JoJo Earle, Tommy Brockermeyer, Jacoby Boykins, Javion Cohen, Traeshon Holden, Khyree Jackson, Trey Sanders, Tanner Bowles, Damieon George, Jack Martin, and Braylen Ingraham.
However, Leary is the fourth transfer to announce his new home. Ingraham is transferring to Syracuse, Holden is transferring to Oregon, and Bowles is transferring to Kentucky. The remaining players in the portal have yet to announce their next chapter.
Alabama will take on Kansas State in the 2022 Allstate Sugar Bowl on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 11 a.m. CT in New Orleans, La. Coverage will be on Tide 100.9 and 95.3 The Bear.
