Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Alabama was charged with showing more maturity amid weaker competition, but they did not answer what Nate Oats said. LSU threatened Alabama on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide was able to squeak out a victory, but the bigger concern was Mark Sears on the night.

Sears scored zero points in the first half, shooting 0-for-5 from the field and 0-for-2 from three-point range. It is not uncommon for Mark Sears to get off to a slow start, but what was uncommon was the total disappearance in the second half. It wasn't just in terms of his level of play, but rather, his play in general. Sears did not see any playing time in the second half of the 80-73 victory over LSU.

Despite this, Alabama was able to rely on the depth and secure a big win in SEC play. Check out the seven-point victory in a photo gallery!
