100 Days Until Alabama Basketball Tips Off
The summer Alabama athletics offseason is quickly coming to a close as August opens up. The Crimson Tide is now 34 days away from kicking off its football season on Sept. 4 against the Miami Hurricanes.
While most of the focus is on defending the 2020 football national championship we are now officially 100 days away from tipping off the Alabama basketball season. The Crimson Tide is looking to defend its SEC championship and build on last season's Sweet 16 appearance.
The full Alabama Crimson Tide schedule is not quite released but the Tide is scheduled to hit the hardwood on Nov. 9 2021 to start Nate Oats' third season.
The Crimson Tide brought in the No. 9 recruiting class featuring electric 5-star prospect JD Davison. He will join Jahvon Quinerly and Nimari Burnett as McDonald's All-Americans on this roster.
Oats successfully managed the transfer portal as well this offseason, retaining Jaden Shackleford and securing Noah Gurley and Burnett. The Tide is expecting Alex Tchikou to return from last season's Achilles injury and brings in 7-footer Charles Bediako to join Juwan Gary and Keon Ambrose-Hylton in the Bama front-court.
Alabama will feature marquee games this year against defending champion Baylor, Gonzaga and Houston in its non-conference schedule. The Tide will also play in an ESPN Events Invitational.
The summer is winding down and its time to get excited for the new season around Alabama athletics. 100 days left until Alabama basketball takes on a new year.
